Logseq
Logseq
Logseq is a free, open-source knowledge base and outliner that takes a daily-note-first approach to capturing and connecting information. All data is stored as local markdown or Org-mode files — fully privacy-first and offline-capable. Bidirectional linking, block-based queries, and a graph view connect notes across your journal. Logseq Sync is in public beta (~$5–6/mo via Open Collective contribution). AI features are available via community plugins. Best for daily journalers and personal note-takers who prefer an outliner-first workflow over Obsidian's document-first approach, and who want zero cost.
Completely free and open source. Logseq Sync in public beta: ~$5–6/mo. No paid commercial license required.
